Homard Plus

Location: B

10500 BOUL. GOUIN O.
ROXBORO
TÉL: (514) 685-5400
FAX: (514) 684-6931

Located near the train station. There is a definite lack of parking space available on the premises. You can park in the train station parking lot at your own risk though. The neighboorhood is not very friendly looking either.

Food: B-

We ordered the Sea Food Linguini with tomato sauce for $19.95 and the Scampi platter for $35.95, the second plate cost 25 cents as part of their 25th anniversary special. The Linguini pasta was cold and very little mussels and shrimps. The Scampi platter was better, except the rice side dish was a bit salty.

Service: D

Very poor service, long order wait time and also long wait to get the bill. No bread offered and as far as water fill up goes, we had to ask several times.

Atmosphere: B

Well lit, nice decor, some cumbersome staircases especially annoying if you ordered the buffet. Sunday brunch $12.95 and dinner buffet $15.95.

Cost: C

The 25th anniversary special was a jacked up price version of the regular menu less "Our famous Clam Chowder or Snails Santorini or Lobster Bisque and Caesar or Californian Salad." No dessert and tea or coffee as well.

Value for the money: C-

The food quality, service and quantity does not justify the price.

Kanda

Location: B+

987 Boul. St-Jean
Pointe-Claire
TEL: (514) 428-8989

Located on a busy street, the parking space available is scarced, but we always find at least a spot. The restaurant is located on the upper floor. For those who have difficulty walking 15-20 flight of stairs, just be careful.

Food: A-

Overall, the food is excellent, occasional some dishes are not as good as the others. Nice large salad entree.

Service: A+

Fast and excellent service. Rarely the waiter messes up the order.

Atmosphere: B+

Well lit, nice decor, the only complaint I have is the tables are not very clean - they feel a little bit greasy as the restaurant decided not to use tablecloths.

Cost: A+

You can enjoy all you can eat sushi lunch at Kanda for only $13.99 during weekdays. Slightly more expensive for dinner - it will set you back $19.99 Monday through Thursday and $23.99 Friday and Saturday. Even then, the prices are very reasonable for Japanese food.
